According to information published by the TSA on their website, you are allowed to bring up to a quart-sized bag of liquids in your carry-on bag. The individual items must be in small containers that are 3.4 ounces or less each. According to the TSA, "Placing these items in a small bag and separating them from your carry-on baggage facilitates the screening process. Pack items that are in containers larger than 3.4 ounces or 100 milliliters in checked baggage."
