1. Why is saline nasal irrigation good for me?

Nasal irrigation is clinically proven and doctor recommended for helping treat sinus congestion and stuffiness that can result from a variety of causes, including allergies, sinusitis, colds, and upper respiratory infections, among others.

Its most dramatic benefit is fast reliable relief from nasal congestion without the use of prescription drugs.

But there’s so much more. Naväge helps flush out everything from microscopic particles and pollen, to dust,  environmental pollution, and even dried encrustations! The result is a cleaner nose so that you can Breathe Better Now!

2. How does it work?

Nasal irrigation washes and moisturizes the inside of the nose.

Saline rinse enters through one nostril, flows to the back of the nasal cavity, makes a U-turn at the gap between the sasal septum and the rear nasal wall, flows back to the front, and then out the other nostril. In other words, it goes in one nostril, around the back of the nose, and comes out the other nostril.

Unlike devices like the neti pot and nasal squeeze bottle that push saline through the nose, The Naväge Nose Cleaner is the only nasal irrigator that uses powered suction to gently pull saline through the nasal cavity.  The result is an easy, convenient, and less messy experience.

3. What’s in the SaltPod capsule?

Naväge SaltPod capsules have two ingredients: salt and water. Our sea salt is a super-purified pharmaceutical grade that contains over 99.99% sodium chloride. With zero additives and fillers, this is the purest sea salt around. Our water goes through a sophisticated purification process that consists of carbon filtration, double deionization, UV sterilization, and a sub-micron finishing filter. The result: seriously clean water.

The Naväge Nose Cleaner only works when a new SaltPod capsule is used.  When you practice saline nasal irrigation you need just the right mixture of salt and water to prevent stinging and burning.  That’s why the Naväge Nose Cleaner is designed for mixing eight ounces (236ml) of water with one SaltPod capsule.

Without a new SaltPod capsule, the power button can’t be pushed in and the motor won’t turn on.

4. How often should I use my Naväge Nose Cleaner?

We believe nasal hygiene will be to the 21st century what oral hygiene was to the 20th, and that cleaning your nose is as important as brushing your teeth. Saline nasal irrigation is already a recommended standard of care for improved nasal hygiene in many countries including Canada and the United States.

We suggest you irrigate twice a day – at the same time you brush your teeth.  But it’s safe to use as often as it’s comfortable for you.  Use it regularly for a couple of weeks and judge the results for yourself!

5. Will it hurt?  I'm a little nervous about the whole thing.

We know that for many people, doing saline nasal irrigation for the first time can be just plain scary!  Worse yet, for some unknown reason, fear seems to have an adverse affect on creating a closed system, which can cause you to get salt water down your throat.  Yikes – what to do???

First and foremost, relax…  Ultimately, you’re going to get it, and confident optimism will get you there faster.

Finally, it won’t hurt to remember that millions practice nasal irrigation every day - without drowning!
